The marches in this collection are taken from the legendary Robert Hoe Foundation. This phenomenal recording project produced over 250 LPs of marches (and concert music). The march recordings featured familiar and mostly unfamiliar works of United States and international composers. This collection represents composers from England, Spain, France, Germany, Australia, Sweden, Austria, Italy and Hungary. Listeners may recognize Parade of the Tin Soldiers (Leon Jessel), Marche Lorraine (Louis Ganne) and Gallito (Santiago Lope Gonzalo). Across the Pond is an enjoyable international march smorgasbord.
