Zander Westphal

Zander Westphal currently serves as the Director of Bands at Haines City Senior High School in Haines City, Florida. His prior appointments include being the Band Director at Charles Henderson Middle School and the Executive Director of Gulf Coast Chamber Ensembles. Under his leadership, Gulf Coast Chamber Ensembles has premiered music from composers across the planet. Through his work with Gulf Coast Chamber Ensembles, he was selected as a winner of the 2025 American Prize in Wind Conducting. Zander is an advocate for new music and regularly participates in consortia to premiere new musical compositions. As a composer, his works are published through ZRWMusic and Murphy Music Press. Zander has performed at conferences held by the International Saxophone Symposium, College Music Society, and North American Saxophone Alliance. He maintains an active schedule as a performer and conductor.
