Lalo received his Bachelor of Music degree from Texas A & M Corpus Christi and a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n   Lalo has extensive experience both as an educator, composer, author, and performer. Lalo was named Nashville\u2019s Top Five 1998 Percussionist of the Year Award and \u201cNashville Scene\u2019s\u201d 2012 \u201cBest Latin Jazz Musician\u201d. Lalo has toured with many artists including the \"Take 6\" Summer 1996 tour of Japan. Other performances include; the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, the Nashville Symphony, the Nashville Jazz Orchestra, the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, the Nashville Chamber Chorus, the Nashville Ballet, Six Pence and None The Richer, Clay Walker, Allen Vizzutti, and Arturo Sandoval to name a few. Mr. Davila can also be heard on Kirk Whalum's Grammy-nominated CD \u201cHymns In The Garden\u201d. Most recently, Lalo\u2019s voice and playing can be heard (as Jafar) in Disney\u2019s Dual Language Series \u201cAladdin\u201d, \u201cSo You Think You Can Dance\u201d, The movies \u201cPeople Like Us\u201d, \u201cThe Amazing Burt Wonderstone\u201d, \u201cMcFarland USA\u201d, and \u201cThe Equalizer\u201d, The 2012 PlayStation Game \"Thieves in Time\", \"Star Wars\", \"America's Funniest 2010 Commercials\".  Lalo has also composed music for: \u201cDrop Dead Diva\u201d, \u201cBreaking Bad\u201d, \u201cGraceland\u201d, and \u201cBurn Notice\u201d.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nKnown as an outstanding clinician and adjudicator, Lalo has conducted clinics throughout the United States, Australia, Paris,\r\nMexico, Sweden, Cuba, and Japan. Lalo is the author of \u201cContemporary Rudimental Studies and Solos\u201d, and \u201cPlay at First\r\nSight\u201d, \u201cTimptastic\u201d, \u201cUncommon Duos\u201d, \u200b\" Bugadafish\", and \u201cJingle Jamz\u201d.
