Mr. Sever<\/strong> is sought after as a guest clinician for All Counties throughout the State of Florida, including high school, middle school and Jazz bands. He has also been honored with conducting at Florida State University\u2019s Summer Jazz and High School camps. Mr. Sever is a long-standing staff member of Penny\u2019s Band Camp at Eckerd College.<\/p>\n

Mr. Sever has traveled extensively to many parts of Florida to adjudicate Marching, Concert and Jazz bands. He is asked to clinic at local, state and out-of-state locations where his knowledge of not only music, but his passion for education helps shape the teachers of tomorrow.<\/p>\n

The Bandworld Legion of Honor was established in 1989 to honor, over the course of a year, eight of the finest band directors in our business.<\/p>\n

Recipients have taught for at least fifteen years, have maintained a very high-quality concert band program, and have contributed significantly to the profession through dedication to bands and band music.<\/p>\n

Each is honored at the annual Sousa Foundation awards ceremony during the Midwest Band Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.<\/p>\n

While finishing his master\u2019s degree, Mr. Sever was hired as the new Band Director at Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, FL. Bloomingdale High School Rajun Bull Band boasts a long-standing tradition of excellence, both on the field and on the concert stage. While one of the largest programs in the State of Florida, this was a challenge few could have not only maintained, but strengthened for current and future excellence. Mr. Sever has had continued success in his past 11 years at the helm of this very large ship on the District, National and<\/span><\/p>\n

International stages. The Bloomingdale Rajun Bull Band, Chorus, and Orchestra have been invited\u00a0<\/span>and traveled twice to Europe to perform during Mr. Sever\u2019s tutelage!<\/span><\/p>\n
