Students get to do what they\u2019re studying in real-world, professional settings, which makes learning exciting and relevant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Each year CWU graduates thousands of well-educated citizens who are ready for high-demand careers in the workforce: construction management, accounting, engineering technology, teacher education, wine business, paramedicine, aviation, and more. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">CWU prepares students to succeed in a global economy through strong partnerships with 30 colleges and universities around the world. Last year we welcomed more than 400 students from 36 countries to our campus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Central Washington University&#8217;s Ellensburg residential campus encompasses 380 acres. There are also seven university centers (Des Moines, Everett, Lynnwood, Pierce County, Moses Lake, Wenatchee, and Yakima).<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"td_quote_box td_box_right\">\n<p class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>CWU, where Teaching is a Performing Art<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">The Music Education Program at CWU has a long history of being one of the largest and the most active in the region, and often graduates more certified teachers than any other single institution in the state.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i>With nearly 300\u00a0declared majors, the Music Education community has the largest NAfME student chapters in the nation (National Association for Music Education).<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>POINTS OF PRIDE<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>\u2022 Top-rated four-year university in Washington according to The Economist<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">In a new ranking system that measures a college by its economic value to its graduates, CWU is the top-ranked four-year university in the state of Washington, according to The Economist magazine.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>\u2022 Top 5 percent Globally in Business Programs<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">The CWU College of Business has again earned the prestigious accreditation of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Only 5 percent of business schools globally earn the designation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>\u2022 LGBT Friendly<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Campus Pride selected Central Washington University as one of the top LGBT-friendly schools in the nation in the Campus Pride 2014 Top 50 LGBT-Friendly Colleges &amp; Universities.
