Three scholarships are available for 2025 thanks to ABC graduate Paul Rataczak (class of 2008) and his wife, Andrea.
1) Save $250 on your ABC registration * with the Allegro Scholarship
2) Save $100 on your ABC registration * with the Presto Scholarship (first 70 registrants - hurry before it's gone!).
3) $500 Brilliante Scholarship for two outstanding 3rd Year ABC Candidates of the Year (payment after graduation).
* After you have paid your $750 down payment, scholarships will be applied to your balance.
Paul and Andrea Rataczak have funded the 2024 American Band College Scholarship ($50,000) and the unused funds from last year’s Allegro Scholarship will be disbursed to the first 70 candidates registered with ABC in the form of a $100 Presto Scholarship.
In addition, the Rataczaks have donated another $50,000 to fund a 2025 Allegro Scholarship. Each candidate will save $250 on ABC registration fees from this 2025 scholarship.
An additional $50,000 has been donated to the ABC endowment by the Rataczaks to permanently fund two yearly student $500 scholarships beginning ABC 2025. These scholarships will be presented to the top two Outstanding 3rd Year ABC Candidates of the Year.
Paul and Andrea are residents of the San Francisco Bay Area. Paul taught Band, Strings, and occasionally Choir in Bay Area public schools for thirty-nine years, and Andrea was a Registered Nurse in Bay Area clinics and hospitals for forty-one years. They enjoy bocce, bicycle riding, and house projects.
